FAQ'S

Where are you located?
We are based in Devon in the South West (UK)
How much does a puppy cost?
Our puppies are priced around £2500. The price is significantly reduced when getting a dog through our guardian home scheme, especially for a female. We also offer a discount to returning families.

How often do you have puppies?
We currently average 2 litters per year.

Can I visit the puppies?
Yes absolutely, visitors are welcome to either meet their puppy or choose from the available puppies from 5-6 weeks of age. Alternatively video calls can be arranged for those who are unable to visit before the collection date.

Can I meet my puppies parents?
The mother will always be viewable with her puppies however the father won't always be viewable due to us not keeping our own boys and often using international stud dogs.
Please note that the mother may not be as open natured as usual - it is normal for them to become more protective and closed off during pregnancy and weaning, in fact it is a sign that they are a good, instinctive mother! We can arrange pre-litter meets.

How do I reserve a puppy?
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your puppy. We do not usually accept reservations before 5-6 weeks old, this is so we are able to factor temperament into the suitability of the dog with the home he/she will be entering. Our waiting list gets priority picks on our litters, on a first come, first serve basis.

Do you have a waiting list?
Yes, we have a waiting list for each litter. We have a group for out wait list where progress on our upcoming litters is shared, from choosing the stud to the birth and watching the puppies grow, you can watch every step of the journey.

Do your dogs have tails?
We do not dock tails. All puppies born with us will have a full tail unless a parent carries the natural bob tail gene, this can cause roughly half the litter to be born with a shortened tail, if this applies to a litter or puppy it will be specified in their description.

What if I can't pick up my puppy on their collection date?
We will hold puppies free of charge until 10 weeks, after this point a minimal holding fee may apply.

What are the conditions of your contract?
A contract will be provided when placing a deposit. Puppies are sold with limited registration as pets only and are not to be bred from under any circumstances. Puppies also must not be sold on/rehomed without prior communication with us, we will happily take back a dog that you are no longer able to care for.

Can I get multiple puppies?
We offer a discount to families returning to us for a second puppy,
however we will not allow multiple puppies from a litter to go to the same home due to littermate syndrome, we suggest waiting 24+ months before adding another addition to the family.

Can you ship internationally?
Yes we are able to home our puppies abroad, we have previously had puppies travel to Cyprus and Norway. They will not be able to leave our care until 15+ weeks old, when they have a valid rabies vaccination.
For dogs travelling internationally, courier options are available. All associated fees are at the buyers expense, including health documents, vaccinations and travel costs. We are happy to help the buyer make their dogs travel arrangements.

Testimonials

" It is difficult to overstate how positive our Moortova experience has been. Heather’s attention to detail is impeccable, from planning litters, to coordination and communication, and of course, the care of the pups. We are over the moon in love with our pup - he is exactly as described, and even more perfect than we could have hoped. He slotted straight into our life and our family, joining us for everything from the morning school run, to afternoon trail runs, and fireside pub evenings. He gets equal attention for his striking good looks as he does for his fantastic trainability and temperament, particularly when commuting on the train into London! He and the overall Moortova experience has exceeded our expectations on every level. We are so grateful to have him in our family. "   - Tybalt's family
" Sassy is the most docile, affectionate and clever dog. She has the most sweet temperament, being at the same time enthusiastic and calm/patient like her parents. We were very lucky in the whole process of choosing/ getting Sassy because Heather was so accommodating. We were in doubt in several parts of the process and Heather guided us through with patience and a lot of care. We couldn’t have chosen a better breeder or a most perfect puppy. We have the right to refuse a sale for any reason, we want to feel confident that our dogs are going to 5 star homes where they belong.  We are always entitled to first pick of any litter born here, priority is given to guardian homes seconded to families on the waiting list in a first come first serve order subject to suitability. Although the buyers preferences will always be considered, we want to set our puppies up for success in their homes and therefore we allow time to learn their personalities before placing them rather than selling them solely based on visual appeal.
